Jerry Dowe
Field Manager

Jerry Dowe is a South Carolina native whose passion for caregiving began at an early age. As the oldest of twelve children, she naturally took on the role of caretaker, learning to cook, clean, and bathe her younger brothers and sisters while still a young girl. Those early experiences laid the foundation for a lifelong calling centered on compassion, responsibility, and service. Throughout her career, Jerry worked across a wide range of care and service environments, including the school system, memory care facilities, A.L. Williams Insurance Company, and Horry County Disabilities and Special Needs, where she dedicated 6–7 years supporting individuals with unique needs. Her greatest joy came from working closely with clients—listening to their stories, learning from their experiences, and building meaningful relationships that shaped her both personally and professionally. After transitioning to PRN status, Jerry met Heartful Hearts In Home Care CEO, Seemone Woodbury. Together, they began with nothing more than a T-shirt, a shared dream, and a commitment to providing 24-hour care. Their journey started with their very first client, a woman they supported around the clock—working 12-hour shifts each—until she peacefully passed away. That moment solidified their mission and purpose. Seven years later, Heartful Hearts In Home Care has continued to grow and flourish, rooted in the same compassion and dedication that sparked its beginning. Jerry brings extensive experience in Alzheimer’s and dementia care, a field she knows well and serves with confidence and empathy. Her guiding philosophy remains simple yet powerful: “Knee cap to knee cap, eyeball to eyeball—you treat people the way you want to be treated.” Jerry wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
